Cheap Milwaukee 0926-24 18-Volt Ni-Cad Cordless 4-Tool Combo Kit

This is a professional grade contractor's tool set. It is not light and delicate. The tools are all beefy and sturdy, not for small hands, like most Milwaukee stuff. The hammer drill is downright heavy and made for serious work and use.

The photos shown here are wrong for the 0926-24 kit. The drill pictured is the older Lok-Tor with 495 in/lbs of torque. The Hammer drill that really comes in this kit is the newer one with 550 in/lbs of torque, and is an outstanding hammer drill.

The hatchet sawzall in this kit is special. Not only is the handle adjustable, the blade oscillates like newer jigsaws do to provide faster (but rougher) quick cutting action where finish doesn't matter. If you need a smoother finish or are cutting metal, move the switch to traditional back and forth cutting action. Stroke is 3/4" on this model which is a good compromise between cutting speed and eating batteries. In real life it is smaller in size than a typical sawzall (nice), but cuts 2X stock with little effort.

The circular saw spins about 3200 RPMS, which is about 500 RPMs faster than the comparable Makita NiMH version. It does not bog down when cutting with fully charged battery. It is larger in footprint than the makita, but is well balanced. Easy levers to set depth and tilt. Comes with sturdy ripping guide.

The charger is basic, and you should buy the optional triple battery charger that Milwaukee sells because it is a superior charger and takes better care of your batteries than the one included in the kit.

The case is excellent, sturdy and protects the tools and flashlight well and has metal latches that will stand up to use.

My disappointment is I wish the impact driver was included in this set. These tools can also use the newer Li-ion battery packs when you are ready to upgrade. Some of the tools allow the battery to be positioned both forwards and backward to give you better clearance in certain situations.

I haven't had it long enough to evaluate battery life, but batteries for Milwaukee tools seem considerably less expensive than the yellow and blue brands, and I love the triple battery charger that can be purchased very inexpensively and no other vendor offers a charger like that.Get more detail about Milwaukee 0926-24 18-Volt Ni-Cad Cordless 4-Tool Combo Kit.
